Revelation of her vindication
Ten āyāt (24:11–20) descended affirming her innocence outright; her father Abū Bakr رضي الله عنه, who had been supporting Misṭaḥ ibn Uthāthah financially despite his part in the slander, was told by 24:22 not to withhold that charity out of anger, and he resumed it.
