Occasion & setting

No sound, specific occasion of revelation (sabab al-nuzūl) is authentically established for Sūrat at-Tīn. Classical exegetes such as al-Ṭabarī and Ibn Kathīr transmit discussion of the oaths' meaning rather than an incident that prompted the revelation, so none should be invented here.
