Why Allah uses this name
Ibn Kathīr notes He is in Himself — free of fault — and the one from whom peace comes, which is why the greeting of the believers and the greeting of Paradise carry His name.
Take this with you
Peace is not a mood you generate; it is something asked from the One named by it.
The Prophet ﷺ said after every prayer: 'Allāhumma anta as-, wa minka as-salām, tabārakta yā Dhā al-Jalāli wal-Ikrām.'
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 591
