After the prayer
The adhkār after the prayer
What the Prophet ﷺ said before standing up.
Astaghfirullāh (three times) · Allāhumma anta s-Salām wa minka s-salām, tabārakta yā Dhal-Jalāli wal-Ikrām.
I ask Allah for forgiveness. O Allah, You are Peace, and from You comes peace. Blessed are You, Owner of Majesty and Honour.
Why it is said here
You have just stood before Allah, and the first thing you say afterwards is 'forgive me' — three times — as if apologising for how the meeting went. Then Āyat al-Kursī, the tasbīḥ thirty-three times each, and the last three surahs, all of which are reported after the prayer.
