01A fulfilled prophecy: the Romans will be victoriousāyāt 1-6
Alif, Lām, Mīm. The Romans have been defeated in the nearest land, but they, after their defeat, will be victorious within a few years. To Allah belongs the command before and after, and that day the believers will rejoice in the victory of Allah.
02Sleep, spouses, and love placed between heartsāyāt 20-25
And among His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquillity in them, and He placed between you love and mercy; indeed in that are signs for a people who reflect. And among His signs is your sleep by night and day, and your seeking of His bounty.
03Differing languages and colours as signsāyāt 22
And among His signs is the creation of the heavens and earth and the diversity of your languages and your colours; indeed in that are signs for those of knowledge.
04Corruption has appeared because of what people's hands have earnedāyāt 41-42
Corruption has appeared on land and sea because of what the hands of people have earned, so that He may let them taste part of what they have done, that perhaps they will return.
05The natural disposition (fiṭrah) Allah instilled in mankindāyāt 30
So direct your face toward the religion, inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the of Allah upon which He has created all people. No change should there be in the creation of Allah. That is the correct religion, but most people do not know.
06So be patient; the promise of Allah is truthāyāt 58-60
And We have certainly presented to the people in this Qur'an every kind of example, but if you bring them a sign, the disbelievers will surely say, you are but falsifiers. So be patient. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth, and let not those who are not certain [in faith] disturb your patience.
