Oneness and permanence
Al-Ḥaqq ٱلْحَقّ
The Truth: the One whose being and whose word are real, beside whom everything called upon is false.
186 āyāt · 56 sūrahs · root ح ق ق
Why Allah uses this name
Al-Saʿdī explains that He is the Truth in His self, His attributes and His speech, and that whatever is worshipped besides Him is named falsehood in the same āyah.
Take this with you
Measure claims against His word. Nothing that contradicts it is real, however solid it looks.
'That is because Allah is the Truth (), and that what they call upon besides Him is falsehood' (22:62).
Qurʾān 22:62; Al-Saʿdī, Taysīr al-Karīm al-Raḥmān (tafsīr of the beautiful names) on 22:62
