Accepted Islam in anger at Abū Jahl's abuse of his nephew, and Quraysh felt the shift immediately.
- The Hijrah — migration to Madinah
Fought at Badr; killed at Uḥud.
How it ended
Killed at Uḥud in 3 AH by Waḥshī, and mutilated afterwards; the Prophet ﷺ named him 'the master of the martyrs'.
