Creating and giving life
Al-Bāʿith ٱلْبَاعِث
The Resurrector: the One who raises the dead and sends messengers.
Reported in the list of ninety-nine · root ب ع ث
Why Allah uses this name
The Qurʾān states the act as a certainty against those who doubt it — 'Allah will resurrect those in the graves' — and uses the same root for sending prophets.
Take this with you
Live as someone who will be raised and questioned, not as someone whose account closes at death.
'…and that the Hour is coming, no doubt about it, and that Allah will resurrect (yabʿathu) those in the graves' (22:7).
Qurʾān 22:7; the name itself listed in Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3507 (the enumeration of the ninety-nine names)
Where it appears in the Qur'an
This name is reported in the list of ninety-nine, but the Qur'an says it as a verb or a phrase rather than as this single word, so there is no word-for-word occurrence to list. The reasoning above cites the āyāt it is taken from.
