Provision and generosity
An-Nāfiʿ ٱلنَّافِع
The Bringer of benefit: every good that reaches anyone comes from Him.
Reported in the list of ninety-nine · root ن ف ع
Why Allah uses this name
The second half of 6:17 — if He intends good for you, none can repel His bounty — is the ground of the name in the enumeration.
Take this with you
Thank Him for the benefit rather than the channel it arrived through.
'…and if He touches you with good, then He is over all things competent' (6:17).
Qurʾān 6:17; the name itself listed in Sunan al-Tirmidhī 3507 (the enumeration of the ninety-nine names)
Where it appears in the Qur'an
This name is reported in the list of ninety-nine, but the Qur'an says it as a verb or a phrase rather than as this single word, so there is no word-for-word occurrence to list. The reasoning above cites the āyāt it is taken from.
