Why Allah uses this name
Ibn Kathīr reads it as removing any idea that obedience benefits Allah — the benefit runs entirely to the servant.
Take this with you
Your worship enriches you, not Him. Do not do Him favours.
Allah says: 'O My servants, you will never attain harming Me so as to harm Me, nor attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me.'
Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2577
